Informed source close to Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) candidates in Arbil says his party is concerned for not winning enough votes in Arbil to send the Political Bureau candidates Fu'ad Ma'sum, Sa'di Ahmad Pira and Friyad Rawandizi to parliament.
The source adds that PUK lays the blame for the failure on the party's first Deputy Leader Kosrat Rasul who supervised the election campaign in the governorate.
"Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader Mas'ud Barzani is in negotiation with PUK leader Jalal Talabani to help success of his party's candidate Arfir Tayfur in Kirkuk. In return, KDP will provide a seat for PUK candidate Fu'ad Ma'sum in Arbil". The source added.
The same source explains that each of the two parties should withdraw a candidate from those two governorates to make the deal successful otherwise they may take illegal ways.
