Kurdistan Region parliament delays voting on the region's 2010 budget

In an unexpected move Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) MPs suggest delay vote on Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)'s 2010 budget draft bill for the after of Iraqi elections. The MPs made the suggestion in an extraordinary session of the region's parliament on Tuesday.
Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) MP Rafiq Sabir describes the decision "illegal" and politically motivated.
According to information obtained by Hawlati KDP Central Committee members expressed their dissatisfaction with continuation of KDP-PUK strategic agreement, especially when PUK is in a weak position now. The source says Barzani reiterated his understanding but he said he respects the agreement as long as Jalal Talabani leads PUK.
Anonymous source from PUK says Barzani supports maintenance of the agreement, since he believes Talabani meets all KDP demands.
